The Contenders!
So the battle begins this weekend . . . Here’s a peek at our two contenders . . . just who these two artists will be drawing remains a secret that won’t be announced until Saturday the 17th. The voting will begin shortly after the final images are posted online and the polling period will go until Wednesday, November 21st at 12pm . . . the winner will be announced and the loser will have to hand the winner over their original artwork!

And onto the artists . . .
Chris Ring – Chris broke onto the comic scene about 10 years ago with his own CarbonKnight mini-series put out by Lunar Studios. Through it’s grass roots support Chris kept the ball rolling doing shows, store signings, newspaper, radio and even TV interviews to promote his work and comics in general. Chris was selected for the first Comic Book Idol, a worldwide talent search for comic artists, and made it to the round of six before being eliminated. His work was noticed by PMK’s Imagination and led numerous projects put out by PMK including: The Perfect Victim, The Other Woman, Nevermore, The upcoming revised James Bond Literary Dossier, and Flight of the Living Dead. Chris also does automotive art for T5 Design and his latest project “Costumes & Cars” put together his two passions in one original sketchbook. For the movies, Chris has done promotional art for “Ladder 49” and “Charlotte’s Web“. Like all artists, Chris is currently working on a super secret project due out next year.
James Nguyen – James is a self taught artist who just enjoys putting the pencil to the paper. Creating comics has been a huge force in his life starting from very early on. When James isn’t sleeping, he’s drawing. Alot. Just ask his wife! He’s self-published three comics and enjoys displaying and selling his artwork at local and national comic book conventions. James has also done character design work for on-line gaming companies. He is fast on the “draw” and loves a good sketch contest!
